Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at Houayxay Border and Transfer to Luang Namtha

Begin your journey with a warm welcome at the Houayxay Border on the Laos-Thai Friendship Bridge. Take a scenic road trip to Luang Namtha, a serene town surrounded by lush greenery.

Day 2Luang Namtha – Chaleunsouk Village – Lanten Village

Start your trek with a short transfer to Chaleunsouk Village, where you’ll meet your village guide. Hike through valleys and rice fields, learning about traditional farming practices. Ascend to the ridge-line for breathtaking views before arriving at the Lanten Village, home to the Lanten tribe who migrated from Yunnan, China. Enjoy a traditional dinner prepared by your host family.

Day 3Lanten Village – Khmu Villages on the Nam Ha River

Wake up to the sounds of village life. Trek through lush forests, stopping at Namkoy Village along the Nam Ha River. Continue to Nalantai Village, a Khmu settlement, before reaching Nalan Neua Village, where you’ll spend the night. Choose between a homestay or an eco-lodge with a campfire dinner.

Day 4Khmu Village – Primary Forest – Transfer to Luang Prabang

From here, take a van transfer back to Luang Namtha and catch the train to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage city.
