This tour combines sightseeing with the charm of cycling through the UNESCO-listed streets of Luang Prabang, offering an immersive and eco-friendly way to experience the city’s history, culture, and local life.

Itinerary

Morning:

  • 8:00 AM: Meet your guide at your hotel, where you’ll be fitted with a bicycle and helmet. After a brief introduction to the day’s ride, start cycling through the charming streets of Luang Prabang.  First stop, visit Wat Xieng Thong, Luang Prabang’s most famous temple, known for its stunning architecture and importance in Lao religious life. Continue cycling along the banks of the Mekong River, enjoying scenic views as you make your way to the Royal Palace Museum, where you’ll explore the former royal residence and learn about Lao history and culture. Cycle to Wat Mai, one of the largest and most ornately decorated temples in the city, and take some time to admire its intricate carvings and gilded features.  Lunch, enjoy lunch as local Khao Poon (Rice roll Noodle with various vegetable) 

Afternoon:

  • After lunch, hop back on your bike and cycle through the quiet streets to visit Mount Phousi. Park your bikes and climb the steps to the top, where you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic view of Luang Prabang and the surrounding countryside. Continue cycling to Wat Visoun, the city’s oldest temple, with its distinctive watermelon-shaped stupa.
    Conclude your cycling tour with a ride to the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre (TAEC), where you’ll learn about Laos’ ethnic diversity and explore exhibits showcasing traditional clothing, crafts, and daily life of the country’s various ethnic groups.
    4:00 PM: After a day of exploring, return to your hotel, ending your cycling adventure.
